Copyrights protect your creativity.

Copyright grants the creator(s) of an original work exclusive rights for the use and distribution of the work for a limited period of time (which can be up to 70 years after the death of the creator). The work must be a "personal intellectual creation" and can also include combinations of other works. The works may be created in many fields, such as in traditional areas like literature, music and art, or other areas like computer programs, apps and on-line content.

Unlike patents, trade marks or designs, no registration is required. Copyright is protected internationally from the date of creation. It is possible in the United States and China to register your works. This is a an effective way to demonstrate who was the creator of the work and is also required if you want to take court action and claim damages in the United States.

We can assist you in making sure that your works are protected globally and in commercially exploiting your works with license agreements (inbound and outbound). We have extensive experience in enforcing your rights as well as in registrations and we can also support your projects in acquiring the rights to use other works, such as images and music from other copyright holders.

We look forward to working with you to develop and implement your copyright strategy.

The Law on Employee Inventions

The inventor has the right to a patent or utility model. But what happens if an employee develops an invention? The right to the work result, or work product, lies indeed with the employer. So who owns the invention of an employee?
