Dr. Sebastian Tegethoff is a managing partner of the 24IP LAW GROUP, and head of the Berlin Office. He is an experienced legal adviser in developing and defending integrated IP portfolios including patents, trademarks and designs and the corresponding contractual framework. In this context, Sebastian develops strategies for research institutes as well as for all kinds of businesses to help them leverage their developments in international markets.
Sebastianâ€™s technical expertise links biological and medical tasks with technical approaches. He supports med- and biotech as well as pharmaceutical companies from start-up to mid-sized businesses over the whole process of their product development to obtain appropriate protection for their final products. On top of that, he gained a reputation in the development of IP portfolios for endoprosthesis and optics.
As a European Trade Mark and Design Attorney he advises companies in the entertainment industry in building up IP portfolios worldwide for commercialisation of their products and properties.
Since 2007 Sebastian has been lecturing on patents and employee invention rights in Distance Learning Programms at the Beuth University for Applied Sciences. More recently, he started giving lectures on â€śStrategic IP Managementâ€ť, which is part of a new study course â€śBiomedical Management and Marketingâ€ť at the University of Hamm-Lippstadt. As a founding member of the managing board of CONELIS e.V., Sebastian is well connected with all kinds of consultants in the Life Science industry. He is admitted to represent before German, European and Swiss authorities.
